Mark Cho
President & COO
Mark Cho is the President and Chief Operating Officer of pt Health. Mark graduated with a BSc in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 1992.
In 1994, Mark established his flagship clinic in Bowmanville Ontario. The business expanded rapidly and by 2007 Mark was responsible for the start-up or purchase of 35 rehabilitation clinics. He had approximately 300 employees.
From the beginning, Mark saw that his patients benefited most from a holistic approach to healthcare in which practitioners work together in a multi-disciplinary model. Motivated by the desire to provide this kind of care to all Canadians, in 2008 he initiated a strategic plan to become a leading healthcare provider in Canada. In three years, with the help of partners and other key executives who shared his vision, Mark led the growth of pt Health from 35 clinics to over 100 clinics with 1700 employees.
Mark Cho is a fellow of the prestigious Quantum Shift Program sponsored by the IVEY School of Business and KPMG.
He is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization, a prestigious network of Young Presidents and Chief Executives from all over the globe.

Varoujan Basmadjian

Varoujan Basmadjian- Chief Executive Officer.
In 1977, Varoujan graduated in Pure and Applied Science from Vanier College in Montreal. Continuing on to McGill University, Varoujan was a scholarship student on entry and was designated a "McGill Scholar" in his second year of study. He graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance. He was hired the same year as a stockbroker with Dominion Securities (now Royal Bank) becoming the youngest broker ever hired by the firm. In 1982, he was hired by the wealth management firm Walter McGregor Associates, again as the youngest analyst they had ever hired. In the following years, Varoujan pioneered work on structuring investment products. This work led to tax assisted high risk exploration companies and partnerships which Varoujan led.
From 1992 - 1995, Varoujan - now as CEO of NW Resources - built on previous work done with partnerships formed through Walter McGregor Associates and built a major gas plant which began sending gas southward from the northernmost tip of the Canadian gas trunk line. His first foray into the public sector came as Director of Green Maple Energy in 1994. Varoujan became CEO then President of the company as it later merged with Overlord Financial. He remained until 2003. Concurrently, in 1995, Varoujan was CEO of Pegaz energy (MSE listing) creating a unique public company with preferred shares to the public. Pegaz merged with Argo Resources, a merger that was initiated by Varoujan with the understanding that he would resign as CEO as part of the agreement. This merger was complete by 2002.
In 1989, Varoujan received a citation from the Red Cross when he was asked to be the Chairman of the International Red Cross Committee for Alberta and the Northwest Territories (a position he held until 1991). The committee's sole focus was the formulate an international disaster relief immediate response procedure. The foundation for a disaster response system was developed with an emphasis on saving as many lives as possible by rapid and proactive action in the face of varied types of disasters.
In 2003, Varoujan began to work with CMV after an informal association of 20 years. In 2005, he became a partner and Chairman in charge of due diligence and structuring of investment products. In 2007, Varoujan became of CEO of PT Healthcare Solutions.

Karen Fisher
Karen Fisher
Director of LTC
Ms. Fisher joined pt Health in 1997 and is the National Director of Long Term Care and
a member of pt Health’s Board of Directors.
A registered physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, Ms. Fisher
earned Bachelor degrees in both Physical Education and Health Science (Physiotherapy)
from McMaster University.
Ms. Fisher is the Rehabilitation Representative for the Health Professionals Advisory
Committee and sits on the Musculoskeletal Care Steering Committee for the North
Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network. Ms. Fisher sits on the Board for
the Designated Physiotherapy Clinics Association for Ontario. She is a frequent industry
presenter on a variety of community care and senior’s health related topics and is the co-
creator of ChartWorks, an industry-unique electronic physiotherapy charting application.
Ms. Fisher’s areas of expertise include clinical practice, operations management,
and business development. Ms. Fisher has extensive experience developing and
implementing educational and knowledge transfer programs including the design
and implementation of initiatives that promote quality patient care, standardization
of procedures, quality reviews and education related to documentation and clinical
intervention.

Over 22 years in the physiotherapy industry, opened first physiotherapy clinic in 1988.

Co-founded Rehab Health in 1997, subsequently sold to Canadian Back Institute, formerly a subsidiary of Select Medical Corporation in 2002.

Played an active part in the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care's decision to reinstate physiotherapy services as a covered health care service under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan 2005
