Taping is used with patients to provide joint support after recent injuries, control internal or external bleeding, prevent further injuries that may result from physical activity, and provide stabilization of in injury during physical rehabilitation. Taping works by applying adhesive tape to a body part which in turn limits the range of motion of that body part. Tape is applied in various patterns depending on the body part.
