  • Vivian Overton
    Physiotherapist - MScPT

    Speaks: English, French
    Vivian graduated with a Master's of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen's University in 2010. She moved to Calgary and has worked with PT Health since January of 2011. Vivian has a large focus on assessing and treating the body as a whole. She has advanced training in Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), therapeutic taping, fire-glass cupping, and manual therapy. Vivian enjoys and has experience working with people with a variety of injuries and ages. She aims to find the root cause of the problem and address the issues in a patient-centered and evidence-based manner. As the Clinic Director, Vivian ensures that all clients are receiving the best care possible with the best outcomes achievable and we are always striving to do better. Outside of work, Vivian enjoys running, hiking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, pilates, fishing, and walking her dog.

    Patient Coordinator - PC

    Venessa works as a Patient Coordinator at Max Potential Physio. She has been around most of the therapies (occupational, physio, speech, etc.) almost her whole life because her older sister was disabled in a car accident in 2005. She has seen firsthand the incredible amount of progress a person can accomplish when they are active in their recovery. Venessa is from a small town in New Brunswick and has a background in business management and customer service. She is welcoming and is very invested in the well being of everyone who walks through the doors at Maximum Potential. Venessa is passionate about her friends, family and of course animals! She enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening, hiking, and riding anything with a motor.

    Jessica has built her principle of care around the belief that “Excellence is not an act but a habit” – Aristotle Since graduation, Jessica has pursued additional training in a variety of manual therapy techniques such as soft tissue release, and joint mobilizations and manipulations, which she integrates in her patients’ in-clinic care. In addition, she believes that the quality of one’s life can be elevated by drawing awareness to movement and promoting simple repetitive changes to continue recovery and performance beyond the clinic. In her spare time Jessica can be found exploiting the mountains to their fullest with her husband- running their two dogs, rock climbing, skiing, mountain biking or backpacking.

    Massage Therapist - Massage Therapy Diploma

    Speaks: English
    Selena Nemeth is a Massage Therapist practicing in Calgary, AB. She graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in 2017 as an RMT. Selena is trained in myofascial deep tissue, prenatal, relaxation, orthopedic assessment and treatment of over 20 conditions including a focus on TMJ extra/intra oral massage. She is experienced in Swedish and non Swedish techniques, hydrotherapy, manual lymphatic drainage, joint play and remedial exercise. She will further develop and specialize through continuing education programs and other adjunctive therapies. Selena believes in massage for its ability to both prevent and treat conditions related to stress and injury. After studying business and working in the insurance industry she was drawn to a new career that would allow her to help people live healthy and pain free lives.

    Massage Therapist - Registered 2200hr Massage Therapy Diploma

    Jen has been working as an RMT since 2007. In 2012, Jen became part of the team at Maximum Potential and believes that co-treating with different specialty's such as physiotherapy can greatly decrease recovery time from accident and injury. She completed her 2200 hour massage program here in Calgary. She enjoys camping, hiking, 4x4ing, cooking, gardening and painting. With a wide experience range she able to cater her treatments to your specific needs. She uses a variety of techniques including; Swedish massage, deep tissue, cupping, and aromatherapy. Jen has experience working with motor vehicle accidents, pre-natal, post-natal, post-surgical, general rehabilitation, sports injuries, and general wellness. Jen treats the body as a whole and believes that massage is a great contribution to general wellness and a healthy lifestyle.

    January graduated from University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Physical Education. After a year working as a kinesiologist, she completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from McMaster University in 2013. Having realized that being able to see and experience the mountains were an integral part of her well-being, she returned to Alberta. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, yoga, indoor climbing, knitting, and crochet, as well as just chilling out with her two cats and a good book. At work, January uses a holistic, hands-on approach and is excited to find the root of the problem and share in the results of a tailored treatment plan with her clients. She has further training in running injuries (treatment and prevention), Functional Dry Needling (level 2), Vestibular Rehabilitation, and Women's Health (treating pelvic floor pain and/or dysfunction, incontinence, pre and post-natal). January firmly believes that her clients have just as much to teach her as she them, and she looks forward to working together to come up with a plan that fits their needs.

    Erin Lanting graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2009 with a BSc. in Neuroscience before moving to Calgary to complete her MSc. in Physiotherapy with the University of Alberta. Since graduating, Erin has completed additional courses on spinal cord injury, knee osteoarthritis, and custom orthotic fitting, and is also certified in Kinesio Taping & Functional Dry Needling. With her neuroscience background, Erin understands the role of the brain and nervous system in injury & pain and utilizes the power of the brain-body connection in her treatment of clients. Her treatments include a combination of functional exercise, theraepeutic modalities and hands-on therapy, and she encourages clients to be actively involved in all aspects of their care. When Erin isn?t working with clients, she enjoys running, yoga, crossfit, baking, and spending time outdoors.

  • Ted Lemanski
    Massage Therapist - RMT

    Ted Lemanski has 2200 hours of training as an RMT with over twelve years of hands-on experience. He is knowledgeable and professional health care provider with competitive athlete background, especially in swimming and downhill skiing. He enjoys working with all variety of cases, although his specialization falls in sport injury, prevention, biomechanics, and functional training. Ted is also an Internationally Educated Physiotherapist with MSc in Physiotherapy and MSc in Sport Injury Management, currently purchasing his license in Canada. His individual approach along with the combination of massage with manual therapy make his treatments exclusively exceptional. He believes that need to do something for recreation is an essential element of human biology and psychology.     Matt graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta after completing an undergraduate degree in kinesiology at the University of Calgary. Originally from the Okanagan, Matt was drawn to the mountains in Alberta to pursue competitive cross- country skiing, staying in Alberta to pursue his education. Matt grew up playing many different sports including volleyball, basketball and tennis. Matt’s experience with a variety of sports anchors his active approach to therapy, combining the right balance of exercise and hands-on manual therapy. Matt enjoys treating a variety of client populations including those who are post-surgical, have been in motor vehicle accidents or are weekend warriors. Outside of work, Matt loves to spend time outdoors whether that is cross-country skiing in the winter or cycling in the summer.

    Mel works as a Patient Coordinator at Max Potential Physio. In 2017 she joined the team with a few years of experience in both an administrative role and physiotherapy assistant role. Through her experience in both administrative roles and assistant roles, Mel has a good working knowledge of the Rehabilitative environment and strives to create a smooth process of patients from when they walk through the door to when they leave, feeling better! Mel was born and raised in a small community in Northern Ontario and hopes to someday return. In her spare time she enjoys playing slo-pitch and snowboarding in the mountains.

    Acupuncturist - Acupuncturist

    Brooke Riad graduated with honours from the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Calgary, AB, and is registered member in good standing of the CAAA. She is passionate about acupuncture and the role it can play in creating and maintaining healthy bodies and minds. Using traditional acupuncture points and other modalities, such as fire cupping, silicon cupping, point stimulation, and Tui Na, Brooke works hard to decrease pain and increase movement in the body. She has received advanced training in Orthopedics sports acupuncture (Level 3) and finds herself using these techniques all to often on her own active family.
