Physiotherapist - MPT, BScKinSpeaks: English, JapaneseWaku graduated from Western University in 2017 with his Master of Physical Therapy. His treatment philosophy emphasizes the delivery of evidence-based, individualized treatments involving manual therapy, exercise prescription, therapeutic modalities and client education to empower clients in optimizing their health and well-being. He has completed courses in functional dry needling, acupuncture, the Mulligan Concept, soft tissue release and manual therapy. In his spare time, Waku enjoys staying active through weight-lifting and playing flag football. He also loves music and watching his Indianapolis Colts play on Sundays.
PhysiotherapistSpeaks: EnglishVarsha is a Registered Physiotherapist with degree From the University of Zambia (Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, 2011). Varsha also did a course from University of Toronto (Ontario’s Internally Educated Physical Therapy Bridging Program, 2018). She has worked in a variety of settings, encompassing cardio respiratory, pediatrics and orthopedic surgery through Central Hospital in Zambia. Varsha is a resourceful and passionate physiotherapist who wants to change someone’s life by improving their wellness. Varsha’s practice involves active rehabilitation with patient-centered treatment goals for MVA, WSIB, Sports rehab and private patients. Varsha uses various treatments in her treatment to make patients better, such as therapeutic modalities, manual therapy, soft tissue release, active exercise therapy and more to return patients to pre-injury level. When asked why she chose her current profession, Varsha replied “I decided to make physiotherapy my life-long profession, when I realized the impact I could have in the lives of people I meet through my work,” she confides. “One of the most important aspects of my assessments and treatments is the education I give my clients. Helping people understand where the physical problem may originate can be the key to a quicker recovery.” Outside of work, Varsha indulges in such activities as cooking, reading, writing and spending time with friends and family. In the summer, she particularly enjoys spending time at the cottage and camping.
Massage TherapistSpeaks: English, PolishDarek graduated from Kikkawa College Massage Therapy School in 1992, after obtaining his degree in Physical Education in 1985. He is in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and the Ontario Massage Therapy Association. He concluded his training in various specialties of massage therapy techniques including; myofascial release, cranio-sacral therapy and others. He has practiced massage therapy for the past 19 years, including 16 years at Melrose Physiotherapy. He also has extensive experience conducting assessments for Independent Assessment Centres.
Physiotherapy Support PersonnelSpeaks: EnglishRyan Grigg has been working in PT Health clinics as a certified Physiotherapy Assistant for over 6 years. He is a constant support to all our staff and patients and has helped Melrose Physio fundraise hundreds of dollars by participating in Movember and other charities for the past several years.

Massage Therapist - B.Sc (Ph.Ed.)Speaks: English, PolishPiotr graduated from The Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland. He also graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Toronto. He has been very successful in treating patients following motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries and sports injuries. He specializes in Swedish Massage, deep tissue massage and trigger point techniques.
