Doug is a highly experienced clinician who graduated from Physiotherapy at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia. Throughout his 15 year career he has worked in many clinical settings in Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada. He has a passion for providing comprehensive care to address patients pain and its underlying cause. Doug combines manual therapy with tailored exercise prescription to empower patients to move beyond pain and maximize their ability.
Doug provides holistic care to patients with diverse needs, including individualized treatment programs that build their capacity for fast and lasting recovery. Doug invests time in his patients, ensuring they are informed, empowered and have the skills to achieve their goals and maintain wellness. Successfully applying this approach to a range of patient conditions including postural pain of the neck, shoulder, low back and pelvis; whiplash injuries, acute sprains and strains, low back pain and sports injuries.
Doug is active and loves recreational sports – especially running and ultimate frisbee. He also enjoys cooking and exploring all corners of the globe with his partner and son. Doug is passionate about creating access to care and is a part of the team at Umbrella Multicultural Health Co-op that delivers a volunteer physiotherapy clinic for migrant farm workers in B.C.
