Ellen graduated from University of Waterloo in April of 2018 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Kinesiology with cooperative education experience. She was born in Yellowknife, N.W.T., but has been living and working in Hamilton, Ontario for a number of years.
Over the last few years, Ellen has worked at the Hamilton General Hospital as a Research Assistant in many medical disciplines within the Hamilton Health Sciences. She avidly volunteers in the Hospital Elder Life Program at the General (HELP) in physical therapy administration. Ellen has also designed and lead numerous camp programs for youth, young adults, and individuals with intellectual disabilities across Southern Ontario. In her experience of sports injuries throughout her athletic career, she has chosen to pursue a career in physiotherapy administration.
In her spare time, Ellen enjoys playing competitive hockey, kayaking, hiking and exploring the Bruce Trail.
