Georgi was born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, and moved to Canada at age of 16. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 2014 with a BSc degree in Immunology and Infection and completed his MSc in Physical Therapy degree at the same university in 2017. Since then Georgi has earned his Functional Dry Needling Certification and has pursued further education in TMJ rehabilitation and Mulligan Concept Mobilization with Movement. He has also completed courses in Orthopedic Division’s Manual Therapy curriculum.

Throughout his education Georgi has completed placements in various settings: home-care physiotherapy, intensive care unit, geriatrics hospital unit, as well as private practice physiotherapy, which allows him to bring a multifaceted approach to treatment. He believes in an active approach to build strength and resiliency and is looking forward to helping you reach your goals.

Georgi Trifonov has most recently completed both the Arthritis Society’s Getting a Grip on Arthritis® osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis education program.
