Nicola is a recent Graduate from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. She
received the “Excellence in Massage Therapy” award this past fall and graduated with Honours
in April.
Nicola grew up in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia and was a competitive Irish dancer for twelve
years. She had the opportunity to represent Nova Scotia at the regional and national level. This
sparked her interest in dance and remedial exercise.
In 2011, Nicola graduated from St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Double
Majoring in Psychology and Sociology. Over eight years she worked in long term care facilities
and community services. During this time she started her foundation of care with respecting the
integrity and dignity of others. As she continued to further her education in client care, those
fundamental values continue to be her primary focus. Her passion for educating patients on
their health and wellness is demonstrated in her knowledge of clinical assessments, treatment
planning and rehabilitation.
Over her clinical studies she took special interest in Arthritis, Neurological conditions and sports
massage. Nicola utilizes hydrotherapy modalities and General Swedish massage in healing soft
tissue and joints.
Nicola is excited to be a new member to the Pt. Health Team and ready to further her
knowledge and experience moving forward.
