Sophie is very focused on treating her clients on an individualized basis and approaches each treatment plan with the goal of finding the specific treatment best suited for their needs. She believes in a gradual approach with regards to applied pressure based on the reactions of the client’s body and the client’s comfort level. She has found this approach to be the most effective and minimizes the clients discomfort during and after treatment.
Sophie has worked in a variety of settings, including owning a cohesive health care clinic. She graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2007. She has also recently completed all five years of study in Osteopathy with the Canadian College of Osteopathy, based in Montreal. She is currently in the process of writing her thesis for this program. The combinations of these programs have helped in nourishing her skills as a health care practitioner. This allows her to see the body as a whole and work with massage techniques, fascia and cranial sacral to benefit clients in reaching and maintaining their health goals. These treatments include but are not limited to TMJ (jaw issues), sinusitis, frozen shoulder, migraines, whiplash, pregnancy related issues, sciatica/back, pain, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, injuries and other issues that affect a person’s daily activities.
Sophie likes being a part of the health care team at pt Health because working with a group of practitioners that have the common goal of client care aids in her client’s treatments, their maintenance, their home care, and their overall wellbeing.
