On Thursday February 18th local entrepreneurs and business owners gathered together to celebrate the best and brightest of our community with the 4th Annual Top 40 Under 40 Business Achievement Awards from the Business Link Media Group. One of the deserving recipients was our CEO, Heather Shantora. Heather was thrilled to be included in such a prestigious group of business leaders and was excited to be in attendance for the awards.

After being named CEO in November, Heather has been hard at work as the leader of this dynamic national healthcare company, positioning us for strong growth in 2016. Since being appointed CEO, she has worked to re-align our goals and vision, and move the company forward as a leader in the paramedical market in Canada. Heather is bringing in an exciting focus on technology to improve patient and employee care and experience. One of the ways that she has done this is by implementing electronic medical records throughout the company to have better insight into patient care and outcomes, and making sure that patients achieve their goals through treatment at pt Health. Heather is a true innovator and leader, and motivates those around her to excel.

Before becoming CEO, Heather held several other leadership roles in the company. Heather was also an advisor to a local Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister, and was a member of the Canadian delegation to the 2005 World Trade Organization. She also was recruited as a professor teaching International Business to graduate students at Mohawk College’s McKiel School of Business after working at the Canadian High Commission in London UK.

She is a well deserving recipient of the Top 40 Under 40 award; congratulations Heather!
