  • Paul Love
    Clinic Director

    Paul graduated from Ben Gurion University of the Negev in June 1991. He has been a physiotherapist in Ontario since 2002,working as Clinic Director for Barrie and Midland Physiotherapy Clinics at pt Health. He is presently Clinic Director for Barrie Physiotherapy.

    Paul has extensive experience in treating muscoskeletal conditions, custom orthotics and vestibular problems. This includes post joint replacement rehabilitaion and other post surgical conditions.

    Paul believes that the proper mix of an evidence based practice consisting of an exercise program, along with hands on and modalities, (when indicated), is most effective.

    Physiotherapy Assistant

    Starting off as a fitness instructor, personal trainer, and wellness coach, Carol ventured into the world of physio over seven years ago. Since then she has taken multiple courses, such as Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery and Bonefit, to enhance her knowledge to assist with the aging population. She is a certified Tai Chi and yoga instructor, and continues to take courses to advance her education and learn as to what the best practice is to aid her clients to achieve the best possible results.

    As a mother of two, Carol tries to find the time to go on hikes with her family, to keep exercise fun and interactive for her family as well as her clients.

  • Divya Malaviya
    Physiotherapist Assistant


    Divya completed her Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in 2015. She has experience of working in hospital and also in an acute care unit as a Physiotherapist. She has experience of working with a wide range of patients from pediatric to Geriatric age group. She has experience of treating musculoskeletal and neurological conditions in hospital as well as in clinical set up.

    In 2018, she moved to Canada and studied in Fitness and Health Promotion from Georgian College, Barrie. She completed the course in April 2020 and became certified personal trainer under Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology. She worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant in Long term Care with the geriatric age group for over a year. She joined pt Health in Barrie to gain more knowledge and get familiar with the Physiotherapy practices in Canada.

    She likes to do drawing, reading and dance in her free time and also loves to spend time with friends and family. She believes in change and an ongoing process.

  • Shreyas Pol

    In 2011, Shreyas received his Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from South Gujarat University, India. He started working in a busy and advanced spine clinic where he treated a lot of patients with severe cervical and lumbar degeneration. Along with the clinic he did a tremendous amount of community work in India, in which he treated patients with neurological anomalies.

    In 2016, he migrated to Canada and started working in a busy private clinic in Brampton. He also began to do community work in the Midland region. Since October 2017, he has been with pt Health, treating a wide variety of patients having musculo-skeletal and neuro muscular conditions. Shreyas believes ‘Medical Education’ is an ongoing process, and hence, continues to enhance his university education by taking advanced courses, which includes Maitland Manual therapy for spine, Mulligan Manual therapy for spine and peripheral joints, Kinesiotaping for spinal and peripheral joint muscles, evaluation and treatment of foot dysfunctions and orthotics prescription, treatment of shoulder dysfunctions via PSRP method (India based technique).

    In addition, he has worked under a certified Mckenzie therapist, from whom he learned the basics of Mckenzie diagnosis and treatment. Also, he has a knowledge of dynamic control, which is an emerging technique for pain relief.

    Logan completed his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario in 2018, as well as a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Sciences at McMaster University in 2021. He has experience working with a wide range of populations from youth and adolescents to middle aged and older adults. He also has specific experience with athletes, motor vehicle accidents patients,
    prosthetics and orthotics, and long-term care home patients.

    Logan joined ptHealth - Barrie to further refine his skills, gain hands on practice, and further his existing experience within a clinical setting. Logan believes in evidence-based practice, continuing education, and communication as fundamental to rehabilitation.

    In his free time, Logan enjoys physical activity like running, camping, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Saba Sohi

    Upon completion of the Fitness and Health Promotion program from Seneca College in 2020, Saba started her journey as a personal trainer to further develop hands-on experience in exercise programming. After witnessing the huge impact of physical activity on healing musculoskeletal disorders and alleviating chronic pain, she decided to enhance her knowledge in rehabilitation and physical therapy by joining the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

    Following accomplishment of her Corrective Exercise Specialization certificate, Saba started her career path as a physiotherapy assistant at pt Health Physiotherapy in 2021.

    Creating a strong, professional bond to clients and providing a patient-centered service are the fundamental rules in her practice. She continuously strives for self-improvement to support her clients, restoring their well-being by the most up-to-date methods in a safe and friendly environment

  • Ankita Medhekar

    Speaks: English

    Ankita is a licensed Acupuncturist through the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).

    Ankita believes in addressing the body as a whole and treating the issue at its roots ratherthan just the symptoms. She believes in both mental and physical aspects of well-being. She is passionate about helping people with physical conditions such as back pain, shoulder pain, sciatica, headaches, and arthritis and treating mental aspects of health like stress, anxiety, and insomnia.

    She has extensive knowledge in cupping, ear acupuncture, tuina massage, heat therapies, gua sha, and electrotherapies. Ankita makes a complete Chinese Medicine diagnosis and tailors a treatment plan best suited for her patient’s condition. She crafts her treatments that make her patients comfortable and assured.

    When Ankita is not with her patients, she loves cooking healthy recipes for her family, working in her garden, and exploring trails.

Our Philosophy

At pt Health - Barrie Physiotherapy, we construct individual, evidence based physiotherapy programs to help you feel better. The programs are composed of an active component, (exercises), as well as the use of various modalities such as ultrasound, interferential current, therapeutic taping, acupuncture, heat and cold.  An element of education is also used to help you understand how return to your optimal level of functioning.

The Clinic

Located in Suite 106 at 15 Gallie Court, the clinic has a large spacious treatment and exercise area, with individual separated work areas for privacy, as well as several private treatment rooms, with many kinds of exercise equipment available such as weights, a recumbent exercycle, an elliptical machine and thera bands.

Access is easy, either by the stairs or an elevator.
