Good news! pt Health now offers virtual physiotherapy, giving you the opportunity to receive treatment from the comfort of your own home through video conference technology.

Wondering how virtual physiotherapy works? In this Spotlight, we’ll share some first hand information from one of our physiotherapists with you.

Elizabeth Abraham, Physiotherapist at Evans Physiotherapy – pt Health and North Brampton – pt Health has been offering virtual physiotherapy here for the past few weeks.

Today, we’re talking to Elizabeth about her experience with this service so far.

Q: Tell us about the type of treatments you can provide through virtual physiotherapy.

A: Through virtual physiotherapy I am able to prove 1:1 care to each patient. I answer their questions in all areas of concern, track the progress of their exercises and adjust where needed, and encourage them to keep up with their exercises in their home environment.

Educating patients on self-managing technique in the current stressful situation.

Q: What has the patient experience been like with virtual care?

A: Patients are happy with the services we’re still able to provide during this time of social distancing through virtual physiotherapy.

Q: Can you share your favourite story of how you helped a patient with virtual care?

A: Most patients are very excited about virtual physiotherapy and are getting used to the new technology. They’re very appreciative of our help in their pathway of recovery, during this challenging time.
