March is Nutrition Month, and we wanted to recognize a few of the Naturopathic Doctors we have on staff here at pt Health. First up we are chatting with Chelsea Grant, Naturopathic Doctor at our Cornwall Physiotherapy – pt Health clinic in Cornwall, Ontario.
Dr. Chelsea Grant, ND has been serving the Cornwall area as a Naturopathic Doctor since 2012. Having grown up in Cornwall, she is grateful to have the opportunity to share her passion for natural medicine with such a great community. She strives to educate her patients so that they can safely use the right natural products to help them enjoy their journey to health. She has a family practice with special interests in integrative cancer care, women’s health, and pediatrics.
In addition to standard naturopathic treatments, Dr. Grant also offers intravenous (IV) therapy including high dose vitamin C therapy as an adjunct treatment to cancer care. Dr. Grant is able to compound the bags in the clinic to formulate a treatment that is individualized to her patients’ specific needs. Many nutrients including glutathione, a key antioxidant found in the liver, are used. Because IV therapy bypasses the gut, there is complete absorption and utilization of nutrients by the body. Common concerns treated by IV therapy include fatigue, digestive disorders, poor immune function, inflammation, hypothyroidism, stress, hormonal concerns, mood disorders, autoimmunity, pain, sleep disorders, and fibromyalgia.
Dr. Grant also holds prescribing rights for bioidentical hormones (estrogen, progesterone and thyroid hormone).
Dr. Grant is licensed with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO) and is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) as well as a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP).
